Martha's Pretty Point, VFPW

High above Big Laurel Creek is the popular overlook and camping spot called Martha's Pretty Point. Here you can enjoy a wide angle view down the Caney Fork gorge, over forests that have not been clear cut for years. Whoever Martha was, she sure had fine taste in views!

Below the point, the trail descends the bluff face via a steep ladder and leaps down the mountain amid forests of maple, oak, beech, and cedar, to rejoin the lower portion of the loop trail a little ways before it reaches Big Laurel Falls.
